Walking Don tells the story of tree-trimmer, storyteller, and former San Quentin inmate Don Moseman – and his walk from Boston to San Francisco. Locked up for most his life, Don’s cross-country plunge into society offers him new adventures and an opportunity to revisit his life as a “seven-time loser.” Walking Don illuminates the reality of imprisonment and the immense difficulties that a lifelong repeat offender faces in reentering society. They also inspire those of us who live and work out in the world – and perhaps take too many things for granted – to take another look around, to see and experience our lives with fresh eyes and a renewed sense of wonder.
